Okay so this is sort of spontaneous but we were requested in lit class to read "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid and then a short essay on what traditional gender stereotypes it contains and I liked this line from my essay so here it is 
-Jamaica Kincaid's "Girl" is focused on a particular gender stereotype considering how females are expected to act in an elegant, plausible, courteous manner for males as opposed to society's way of portraying women as slutty, half-naked ornaments in black lace corsets and three inch stilettos, and grinding down poles on a daily basis.
