Amaya's little flame blinked out as soon as Scythe welcomed her inside. She drowned at loss of warmth and walke right into the apartment, closing the door politely. She took off her shoes, not wanting to make the carpet dirty, and stepped towards the kitchen. She wanted to stuff her groceries into a safe place away from the hungry Awaji.
Which was perfectly okay.
She grabbed her large bags and stopped for a moment. "Um...where do I sleep?" she asked, thinking that that would be the est place to stuff her food. Except the cakes. Cake had to be refrigerated. Besides, maybe as a house warming thing she could cut it up after dinner and serve it.
The boys might like that.
Kazuki angled his head upwards in the direction of where he thought the moon might be. There was a bright ball up there. Maybe that was the moon?
He sighed. He didn't know. He couldn't see. He couldn't even imagine it. Shaking his head, the brown-haired boy took a step to the right and decided to walk that way. He didn't sense anyone nearby so maybe it was safe? No run-ins means no pissing anyone off. Right?
Right.
So on he walked, the sounds of the night echoing in his ears. From the awful sounds of sex to the chirping of crickets to the closing of doors to the snaps and yells of two people fighting. He frowned.
He couldn't remember why he wanted to take a walk anymore.
Yuki blinked a few times. "Ah, uh...bye!" she yelled after the little blond girl, looking at Kiba for an explanation of the weirdness that's been going on.
He only shrugged. "Who cares? They're gone."
"True, true. But still. The last twent-fours hours has been odd."
He nodded. "Yes. Very." He rested his head on her shoulder and sighed. "Aain, who cares? We're alone right?"
"Not entirely," Kakashi exclaimed, chuckling.

"Either the second door on the right or the first door on the left, down that hall," Scythe said, pointing. "Awaji-kun's got his' and Rage-kun's room picked, and I don't really care which one I get. I don't really sleep," he grinned.
A vicious hissing noise exploded through the air as Rage threw the freshly-spiced beef into the wok. Mere seconds after it hit, Awaji sat bolt-upright from the sofa.
"Senpai's home!" he yelped, vaulting over the back of the couch excitedly. He took up a stool on the other side of the counter and watched Rage stir the meat to cook it. If he had a tail it'd be wagging nonstop.
Rage sighed lightly and shook his head. Awaji was either going to end up freakishly tall or very fat. He let the meat cook and started working on the peppers and vegetables, glancing at Amaya as she grabbed her bags.

Amaya hauled her groceries into the second room, settin them down on the table in the corner. The room was full furnished; bed, tv, chairs, a wall hanging and all. She sighed and threw herself on the bed, burying her face into the blankets.
Long day. No sleep. She needed some badly. Shaking her head, she rolled over and stared up at the ceiling, purple eyes intense. Shopping, screaming, death, stink, idiots, blind guy, an apartment, hospital, injury, emotions, going soft... She frowned and closed her eyes after listing it all in her head. There was a lot that went on. Really.
She supposed that it might be a good idea to grab the cakes and put them in the fridge.
Pushin herself up, Amaya stepped over to her bags and fished through them, pulling out the red velvet, chocolate, yellow, and triple chocolate cakes. Damn, how many did she get? There was one more with thinly sliced strawberries in its white frosting. She had too many in her arms right...
She'd get to it later.
Leaving the room, she headed back to the kitchen and set the four cakes on the counter, returning to her room to get the last one. She decided that this cake was the prettiest and etched her name in the plastic cover, picking it up and scampering into the kitchen. She opened the fridge (which was mostly empty), placing each cake inside with a such gentleness that rivaled that of Hinata's.
After all, cake was holy. A divine creation.
She listened to the sizzle of the cooking meat and looked up at Rafe, lightly tugging on his sleeve. "Spicy, please," she mumbled before stalkin off to the living room.

"Yeah, spicy!" Awaji piped, squinted eyes on the sizzling pan.
Rage looked after Amaya as she walked stiffly into the living room, blinking. He was always blinking. Maybe it'd become a bad habit. Still, he got out a smaller pan and slid some of the meat into it for Scythe before turning to his grocery bags and digging for something that would give their dinner a kick.
Scythe sat on the couch, his body spreading languidly across it. "So, you're Yuki-san's friend? That means you're a kunoichi too, right? No offense, but you're kinda young to be a ninja," Scythe commented politely, smiling at Amaya.
The dark haired teen looked up from his cooking to send a stern look at the back of Scythe's unkempt brown hair, and he twitched. "I mean no offense, really," he insisted with a little laugh. Rage looked at him a moment longer before having to swat away a hungry little hand that belonged to a hungry little boy before he scorched his fingers for a meager piece of meat.

[Its okay! I have those all the time ><]
Amaya stood off to the side, seeing as how Scythe inhabited the couch, and frowned. Well, maybe she wanted to sit too. She hasn't exactly had any rest of any kind. She mentally shook her head. It wasn't the time to be selfish.
She shifted her weight and breated slowly. Food, a bath, and sleep was all she needed or wanted but-
"So you're Yuki-san's friend? That means you're a kunoichi too, right? No offense, but you're kinda young to be a ninja," Scythe inquired politely, interrupting the purple-haired little girl's thoughts.
She frowned.
Why did he want to know? Her life was her business. No one else's. However, ignoring his questions would be rude. She couldn't win today, now could she? No sleep, best friend is in the hospital, and now she had to explain things. Great.
Now, why did she ask to stay with these people?
Shaking her little head, Amaya turned and looked at Rage for help, pleading for him to say something so that she wouldn't have to spill the details. But he was cooking. He wouldn't be able to pay attention to her. Realizing this, she puffed out her cheeks jut a iny bit and we brows furrowed.
A lose-lose scenario. Dammit.
"I mean no offense, really."
She let out a soft breath. "Yuki-sama and I have known each other since we were both very, very small. Indeed, we are friends," she explained softly over the sizzling of meats that Rage was cookin up. "And both of my parents, deceased, were much younger than me when they became ninja. I may be a gennin, but I am at jounin level."
All true. Short and simple. She didn't have to give any further information on the subject. Good.

Scythe blinked up at Amaya. "Younger than you? That's gotta be - well, you're probably about ten--" He stopped as something light and harmless hit him in the back of his head. He looked over the couch to see Rage, a spoon in his hand, positioned like he'd flung something using that utensil. His peach eyes were slightly narrowed at Scythe as if to say 'don't be rude'.
The brown haired man chuckled and grabbed the small green pepper from his tangled hair. "Ah, never mind. You don't have to explain anything if you don't want to."
Rage nodded his approval before looking at Amaya. His eyes jumped from her, to the chair near the couch, and back to her. Then he went back to cooking and keeping Awaji's greedy, reckless hands from the scorching pan.
"Well," Scythe sighed after a few moments of silence save for the irresistible crackle of oil and meat, "I guess it was kinda forward to start asking you stuff when you're the only one without attachment here." He put a hand to his chest and grinned. "I'm Yanagi Scythe. You know Katsukawa Rage-kun over there, and drooling all over the counter is our youngest, Tsukiyoka Awaji-kun. 'Course, Scythe and Rage aren't our real names. Mine's Kozue. I'd tell you Rage-kun's but, I'm not really sure how he feels about telling people his real name," he admitted with a sheepish grin.

[Sorry for the lateness. Had to go shopping. >< And it is okay!]
Amaya blinked. "I'm twelve." She blinked again, watching the spoon fly smack into Scythe's head. Another blink and she turned to face the direction of which the spoon came from. Rage threw it? But why?
She shook her head slightly, listening to Scythe introduce everyone. He already knew their names. He didn't have to introduce them... Still, she supposed it was just out of politeness. Not introducing everyone would be rude.
Just like not telling everyone her full name would be rude. She signed inwardly.
"My name is Chiyoye Amaya. I come from two clans: the Uchiha an the Chiyoye."

"Two clans? That's interesting," Scythe commented, glancing at Rage. If he said anything rude again it'd probably be a pan flying from the kitchen and not a harmless spoon. "All of us come from only one clan each, but, we ran away from them a long time ago. 'Cept Awaji-kun, he was kinda adopted out of his'. And Rage-kun, he was--"
The sound of metal clanged through the air as Rage struck a spoon against the pan. His way of saying supper was ready. But he was also looking at Scythe with pleading, exasperated eyes: telling him to stop going into detail. Amaya probably didn't want to hear about their dull lives.
Scythe read the look and grinned again. "Food's done," he sighed, getting up with a stretch. "Amaya-san gets first dibs, Awaji-kun, so don't jump into the skillet just yet," he chuckled.
Rage was holding the back of Awaji's shirt because the boy was about to have done just that. As the brown haired boy sulked a little, Rage looked to Amaya, jerking his head to indicate she should get her food.

"Two clams," Amaya muttered, tuning out Scythe's speaking.
The food smelled absolutely wonderful. Spicy and meaty and delicious. Peppers and rice and baby corn... All that was missing was a small little confection.
Well, she had the cakes in the fridge. All she had to do is cut one of them up into reasonable slices and everyone would get one. But which cake? There's five of them. She already decided the fruit-covered one was for her, so there's chocolate, yellow, red velvet, and triple chocolate.
"I got a cake. Does anyone like chocolate?"

"You got us cake?" Awaji squeaked. He hadn't moved, but Rage tightened his hold on the little boy just in case.
"I don't think it's specifically for us, Waj'-kun," Scythe said, getting up. "I'm not very fond of cake, but those two like chocolate, if I remember right."
Rage stepped safely away from the pan to make room for Amaya so that Awaji's desperate attempt to get food wouldn't end up giving the girl a smack upside the head.
