[That's okie! mine took forever too. v.v] The short girl blinked, her ears twitching only slightly at the...vague look of surprise on Rage's face. He seemed more of a steely, intelligent brute than anything else, but Amaya sensed a more...deeply rooted respect for the ones around him. She frowned, feeling an unfamiliar and very uncomfortable bump in her chest. Her thin brows furrowed as she came to realize he was similar to her in a few ways, what with the silence. Another uncomfortable thump in her chest had her cringe, but barely, and her mind went in too many directions. A long time ago, back when she was much smaller than she is now, only about six or seven, a tall man with sickeningly white skin and long black hair approached her. He bore a wicked and reproachful grin, much like a pedophile would wear when he was out phishing, and he had been clad in a strange olive green flak jacket an black pants. He stretched his long arm out to her, his fingers gently brushing away a stray purple lock. He seemed to take glee in her childish and blank scrutiny. "Come with me," he said. "I'll make you a great and powerful ninja with skills above all." Much to his disapproval, she frowned at his offer. "You'd have to come up with a better deal than that, sir," Amaya told him, shifting her weight. She was, so far, unimpressed. Being a ninja was not on her list of priorities, certainly not something she really wanted to do, and definitely not something she was willing to put herself through. She was a child. Ahem. A child. Even she could see and understand that. The man chuckled musically, almost proud of her poor negotiating, and rethought his offer. "Come with me, Chiyoye, and I will give the abilities necessary to keep them from harm." He spoke in a seemingly cruel way, obviously speaking of the three people she held close; Yuki, Yasuo, and a redhead little boy with raccoon eyes... Reluctantly, she agreed with a small nod of her head. "Good," the man said, placing his thin white hand on her shoulder. His cheery demeanor just seemed like an overtone, a candy-coat, for who he really was. Deep down, Amaya knew he was not a kind man. And she had been right. It was years now that she had been in Orochimaru's company, giving and receiving his orders and accumulating followers of her own. He 'raised' her to be a very skilled shinobi, as he had promised, but never did he let her leave his maze of a hideout. He locked her up in a room full of books and scrolls that ranged in size, density, and material. And he kept her there the entirety of the time she was there. He did, indeed, check on her, bringing her well-prepared meals and assistants of sorts. On somedays, however, she would receive beatings of the worst kind, each one much harder than the last. There was no room for kindness. These beatings were tests- tests to see how long her body could last, how high her stamina was. Slowly, very slowly, she learned silence and she closed herself off completely. Then he gave her that mark, in spite of her already demon-inhabited body... There was a simple yet off-putting stir in Amaya's belly. Her small hand shot up to her fishnet-covered stomach to her invisible seal and that curse mark, clutching at the fabric. She would be damned if any of that escaped her small frame And then the familiar sound of Scythe's voice tore through the air, causing her to glance up at the peachy-eyed Rage, a look of wild panic flashing through her. Scythe spoke of Yuki and her condition... Without another moments hesitation, she raced past the already moving Rage, not allowing herself to faulter. Kakashi smiled down at his daughter, chuckling at her condition. Not to spite her, no. Never. He was actually surprised she came back alive and the black markings that stained her skin were just rediculous. "Kakashi-tousan... Where's that boy that looks like you? He saved me and I wanted to thank him for it..." Yuki said simply, her voice a light rasp. He immediately shushed her. "Don't speak, kid. You're still a bit worse for wear," he scolded her softly, affectionate almost and turned, a little taken aback by what she told him. Without another word, he left her in that white hospital bed, disappearing. A sigh left Yuki's hurting lungs and she rested against her fluffed white pillows. She just got back an he was already proofing away... 'Stupid dad...' she thought with a hint of irritation.

Rage was impressed. For someone so tiny, this girl had nearly beaten him to the hospital.
Of course, she traversed through the trees, which gave her a faster momentum. Rage wasn't too fond of traveling that way. It's not that he was afraid of heights, it's just that he didn't like not having solid ground beneath his feet. So, tree-climbing, boats, and bridges were things he always avoided.
Still, it was a surprise. Now they bolted into the hospital together, Rage instinctively grabbing the door for the girl first.
Vell couldn't believe his bad luck today. Just couldn't believe it. But there it was, running into him in his swift escape, jarring both his body and mind. The bad luck froze with him, one eye meeting the other. Awaji skidded to a halt behind him as Scythe rounded the corner.
Kakashi blinked at Vell. "Tekai..."
"Wrong brother," Vell blurted, wide eye on the ground and trying to walk past. Kakashi saw his intention and blocked it purposely. Vell swallowed hard. "Out of the way, old man," he muttered, failing at apathy.
"Tekai-- Vell," Kakashi corrected himself, "Yuki said that you saved her. She wants to thank you."
The silver haired teen shook his head. "I just carried her around, that's all," he muttered, turning to backtrack out some other exit. Kakashi clamped a hand on Vell's shoulder, making the younger Hatake freeze unconsciously.
The flinch Kakashi felt made his own heart lurch and he let Vell go. Vell didn't leave, nor did he turn to face him. An almost awkward silence settled over the siblings.
"You didn't even tell me you had her," Vell finally murmured. The hurt in his voice was involuntarily transparent. Scythe stared at his younger friend with a quiet empathy.
Kakashi, meanwhile, had his eye on the floor. "...I figured one shock at a time would've been better."
"Don't tell me there's more."
"Yes. I've turned our house into a dog shelter for strays."
"YOU FUCKING BASTA--" Vell whirled around to bellow his incredulous rage, but stopped when he saw Kakashi's face. Even after years of being apart, Vell could recognize that hidden smile beneath his brother's mask.
"It really is good to see you again, Vell."
Red tinted Vell's whole face and he turned his back on the pleased Kakashi. "You're such a dick!" he snapped.
Kakashi chuckled. "I'll take that as an 'It's good to see you too'," he surmised fondly.
"...So did she really wanna thank me, or was that a trick, too?"

[See what I did there? XD A little history for Ami-chan~ And I'm thinking it took a day or too for all of this to lapse.]
Amaya bolted inside, sending Rage a quick look of appreciation and jetting through the hospital in a frenzied dash. She didn't know why she-- It had to be the Gobi. He had to be the reason why she was crazy and wild. She leaped up a flight of stairs, dodging any medic that obstructed her path.
Nearing her object of worry, she slowed considerably. Or, rather, she forced herself to slow to a steady walk. Her best friend was injured and probably unconscious or wheezing. Yuki, after all, did have asthma. A very mild form of it. Nothing too bad. But she was still wounded and unhealthy.
Rounding a corner, Amaya kept walking on, smelling the air for her purple-haired friend. She stopped, however, for she actually rounded that corner with her room being the first. She stood in the doorway, studying the area.
Pure white walls enclosed a hospital bed with a brutally broken body in its sheets, a thin curtain shielded this bed from another, acting as a sort of wall that gave the shadows behind it a sense of privacy, and IV drips clung to a tall metal pole that hung close to the rest of some important-looking medical equipment. The body was something Amaya took more interest in.
Mussed purple hair was strewn about the white pillows and sheets, contrasting greatly against them, and seemed to hang off the sides of the bed. There were small black swirls traveling up the sickly pale arms of this girl, twirling around her shoulders. A thick set of two whisker marks stained each cheek and a circle with long points at its top and bottom arked her forehead and the bridge of her nose. Two other marks similar to that of a tribal neck-and-shoulder tattoo framed her, well, neck and shoulders. And, along her collar bones, there were thick lines that traces and dipped with her bones.
A small 'Hmph' and a frown came from Amaya. She didn't like what she saw. Who would? Black markings all over an injured girl? It isn't exactly a sight to be approved of. She smelled traces of that disgusting and intrusive scent from earlier and decided that, maybe, from what she heard from Yasuo at one point a long, long time ago, that these markings were caused by a black aura with the scent of the dead.
If she remembered correctly, this was the case.
She took a step into the blank hospital room and stopped again, this time at about five feet from Yuki's bed. Her nose crinkled up at the smell. "You smell foul."
Yuki almost jumped from Amaya's comment, releasing a small 'eep'. Within little more than a second, there was a pillow chucked weakly at the short purple-haired girl. The pillow was dodged effortlessly. "What the hell, Amaya?" she muttered, bringing herself down from her place of surprise.
"You smell," she repeated blankly.
"What? Like what?"
"Quite frankly, like death and decay." Still blank.
"Death and decay? What are you talking about? I don't smell anything!" Yuki squealed, feebly crossing her arms. "And where's Kakashi-tousan run off too? I hope he told that guy thank you for me."
"Even worse than death and decay," Amaya muttered, blatantly ignoring the rest of Yuki's comment and focusing more on that peach-eyed boy she acquainted herself with earlier.
And so began the annoying bumps. The moment she meets someone similar to how she had once been and her heart goes crazy. How irritating. She thought for a while, wondering why a muscle would move in such a way for a similarity.

There was a tap on the door before Vell slid into the room, looking uncomfortable. "Oi...Kid," he said gruffly. "That old man told me to come in and see you. Don't know why...."
He glanced at Amaya, who was standing by the door with a pillow at her feet. Vell quirked a brow down at her. "Ah. The midget."
"Hello there!" Scythe piped, suddenly appearing behind Vell. The silver haired teen bristled like an alarmed cat from the abrupt presence. Scythe just smiled amicably. "You probably don't remember us, but we helped get you to the hospital. Well, my good friend Vell-kun did, anyway," he said, clapping Vell's shoulder.
The silver haired teen's ear twitched as he scowled. "I'm not Rage - I can speak for myself!"
"Speaking of, where is he? I told him to come back. Maybe his communicator was off," Scythe mused lightly, not seeming too concerned.
Vell rolled his eyes and turned back to Yuki (doing his very best not to stare at the tattoos that had popped up all over her body). "It's getting crowded in here. So...what everybody's telling you, that I.... Well, I didn't save you. I just carried you home, that's all. No need to thank me, it wasn't a big deal," Vell huffed, staring at his left rather than at Yuki.
Awaji peeked around Vell and Awaji, eyes still squinted shut. "You okay now, Lady?"

[Yes! Indeed. And I added a little...awkwardness on Ami's part. >3 And awwwwwwweh. 3: I should head to bed soon. I has finals!]
"Oi...Kid."
Yuki nearly leapt through the floor above at the second disturbance. Oh, how embarrassing. She was so jumpy... She groaned inwardly and let herself relax. Nestling herself into her hospital bed, she searched for the source of the voice and found her carrier.
She smiled a big smile. And, after everyone had spoken, all their words goin in one ear and right out the other, she pushed herself up into a more comfortable sitting position. The blanket fell right off her, revealing the same mark on her forehead on larger in the middle of her chest, the bottom-most point reaching the half-way point of her sternum. This marking was thicker and darker than the rest, indicating tht it was probably where the dark energy had reached out from. Bandages wrapped tightly around her chest and abdomen, some slightly bloody, others pristine.
She flinched and gave a huffy yelp, instantly curling an arm around her side. A dull pain shot through this spot and reached up and around to other places of her body. Only, this pain wasn't dull. It was more electric, which wasn't the nicest of feelings. Yuki groaned, digging her teeth into lips from this uncomfortable feeling.
A steady, gloved hand gently pushed her back against the pillows, combing her messy mop of purple hair out of the way. She looked up at her adopted (or is it adoptive?) father, momentarily forgetting the pain. She smiled softly, only to have the agony wash over her again. She let out yet another whimper.
"Shh, you're alright," Kakashi soothed, trying to calm her down. The more she worried about the feeling, the more it would hurt.
"But...it hurts..." she grumbled, her hand holding onto the most pained spot.
"It'll go away soon," he told her, stepping back a little bit to give her some space.
Amaya watches everything that had gone on and took comfort in knowing that her friend was safe and in good hands, turning around to leave. She had things she needed to do; like tend to her seals and curse mark. She couldn't risk the release of the Gobi and she certainly couldn't risk that evil chakra boost given by Orochimaru. This thought made her frown deepen.
And so did the tall, peach-eyed Rage standing in the doorway.

[Hahahaha ohhh Amaya. XD And from this she should be able to decipher that Rage is NOT scared of her - just being polite X3. And FINALS FIGHTING! (Do your best on your finals!) >D]
Before he could walk in, Rage was beset in a big set of lavender eyes. They were creased into a frown. He halted short, blinking, not sure whether he was allowed into the room or not. Not being able to read her expressions when she was closed-up wasn't helping him at all.
Scythe noticed him before he could make a silent retreat, and them man grinned. "What took you so long, bud'? I was about to send a search party for you," he teased.
"..." Rage glanced swiftly at the short girl one more time before looking to Awaji and offering him a box. Inside were chopsticks, rice, and various meats and vegetables. If Awaji could open his eyes, they'd be too big to fit on his head.
"You're the coolest senpai ever," Awaji piped, snatching the bento and cracking it open.
Vell had been watching Kakashi's and Yuki's exchange, wincing as if he could feel Yuki's pain. Now his ear twitched backwards and he turned to glare up at his friends.
"You two are way too tall to be taking up breathing space right now," he snapped, guiding a smiling Scythe and a passive Rage out the door. He heard munching and turned his sharp eye on Awaji. "And you - you're just annoying. Out."
Scythe chuckled as the door was shut after Vell had pushed Awaji out with his foot. The tan little boy frowned around his mouthful of octopus. "Why's he so grumpy all of a sudden?"
"He just doesn't want to stress Yuki-san out all the more. You know he can't just say it so easily, though," Scythe commented. Now he stretched his arms way above his head with a serene smile. "Mmm. Well, we'd better go scouting for an apartment or something."
"We're staying here?" Awaji nearly choked on his food and Rage looked at his idol incredulously.
The wily man glanced at the door, smile sly. "Vell-kun'll wanna hang around for a while, I take it. And he's probably stalling on telling Yuki-san who he is since right now it'd make her bust a stitch. Not in the funny way. He'll need our support, so we'll stay in Konoha until he's ready to go back. Sound like a plan?"
Awaji nodded with his face stuffed with rice. Rage stared at the door through the bit of glass, pale orange eyes on the tufts of purple hair sticking up into view. After a few seconds, he turned back to Scythe and inclined his head in agreement.

[Ami's pissed about her body. ^^ And Yuki hates hospitals]
"There should be a nurse coming in soon to check your vitals," Kakashi said, Yuki being the object of his attention. He noticed her wince, her fingers slowly retreating from that bandaged gash at her side. He gave her a small smile hidden by his mask and leaned himself against the wall by her bed.
What stressed her out the most wasn't her pain. It was actually the fact she was in a hospital. She may not be thinking about it, but that's why she's so jumpy. Back when he found her all crumpled up and sick in the brush, he took her to the hospital to get her fixed up. But some idiot decided it was okay to do something to her. From that day on, there's been a deep set fear of the supposed to be helpful institution.
Well, at least, he assumed that's what would be stressing her out so much.
She was very pale, thick bags under her eyes, and those bright bi-colored eyes were dull, her hair an absolute mess. He sighed inwardly. Yuki may be strong and able to defend herself and those around her, but the amount of, well, stress she puts herself under and the amount of damage she takes is always at a needless extent.
"Kakashi-tousan... Are you sure? I haven't seen a nurse since I woke up," Yuki replied, her voice a soft rasp. She let her hand drift up to her throat, hoping to sooth it. It hurt, to be quite honest. But she pushed it aside, inclining her head enough to see past her father and look right at Amaya's still form and Vell's pushy one.
Amaya just stood there and blinked, a little peeved at the display. Rage had brought his teammates lunch and Vell was shoving everyone away and closing the door. And then she frowned deeply. More reminders? What just happened triggered another memory and it wasn't a nice one.
It was during one of beatings. They had her bleeding and bruised from head to toe, lashing her with whips of wind and fire, burning some places of her skin. She never moved, nor did she make a sound. All she did was sit there and take all that came to harm her. At some point, though, her mind took a needed vacation and shut down.
Still, she was quiet and unmoving, closing herself off. She felt no pain, at least, no physical pain, and eventually her abusers left. It seemed to her that they left her there to die but...
Her stomach stirred again. Amaya stepped cautiously and slowly to the closed wooden door, twisting the knob and pushing it open. There was no room for 'hi's and 'hello's or even 'thank you's, not that she really gave any anyway. She needed to get somewhere private and fix up her seals. If she didn't, the Gobi would talk and he would ravage her insides until he burst free, recklessly destroying what he good.
Tactless bastard.
Before she could make her escape, she closed the door behind her looked up at Rage, then at Scythe, then at the littlest one stuffing his face, and back to Rage again. He had very...open eyes. And the color was fascinating. A peachy orange. While she never actually got the chance to enjoy colors or different foods, she thought she may have liked it now.
And then she took a sharp turn to the left, walking away in a slow manner. She figured, at some point, that she would have to work on the seal and curse mark a little later. After seeing a plate of hot food, she realized that it wasn't the Gobi stirring her stomach. At least, not since much earlier when there was that thick scent of death.
[Meh. Awful. And thank you for seh encouragement!]

[Hahahaha I can see that. XD And, Rage keeps calling Ami-chan 'the short girl' or 'this girl' because...he didn't catch her name. >w< But since he can't exactly talk he didn't think he needed to ask.]
This girl was strange. Not dangerous or disgusting strange - just...strange. As she looked at the three assassins gathered in the hallway Rage had the strangest feeling that her eyes were hooked onto his for the longest. Those violet eyes. Like gems, or the dyed crystallized sugar jewels Awaji was fond off. Smooth, cold, but beautiful. And - despite the appearance - somewhat sweet.
And that's all Rage got as she was walking away. Really, this was going to frustrate him to no end. Scythe snuck a glance at his young friend as he waved amicably to the short girl who wouldn't see the gesture; Scythe's mouth curved into a little smile.
Rage blinked as she walked away. Her posture...was she...? He was caught up to her in a few easy strides and barely touched her shoulder to get her attention.
"What's he doing?" Awaji asked Scythe, who put a hand over the tan boy's mouth instead of answering.
Reaching into his side satchel, Rage took another bento box - his box - and presented it to the girl with both hands. He watched her purple eyes for any hint, any subtle reaction, grasping for a piece of her character. While doing so, his face was blank. He was rather good at that.
Meanwhile Vell was standing awkwardly near the door, not really sure on what to do. The thank yous were out of the way (well, refused, but still). He didn't want to start dumping things on her right now. "Oh, hey, get this. Not only did I kind of save your life - I'm also your dad's long-lost little brother. Say hello to Uncle Vell." Right.

She didn't need to feel him tap her shoulder before she turned around, catching his hands almost instinctively. And the touch was electrifying in a strange way. It didn't even have the decency to be a normal feeling. As quickly as she had grabbed him, she let go of his wrists, dropping her down to her sides. A small frown appeared on her face; a subconscious action it was. She frowned more deeply at the fact that a frown was her first reaction for everything.
Her head craned upwards and her deep purple eyes traveled upward to meet his own orange ones, and she slowly looked down at the bento box in his grasp. "You didn't need to bring me this," she stated simply, returning her purple eyes to his. Immediately, she could tell that he was giving her his own lunch and her frown deepened. "Keep it. It belongs to you," she continued softly, her eyes wandering off.
This was an odd interaction between a boy she didn't know and herself. An offering of food? That's a first. She didn't want it, especially not if it deprived someone else of something to eat. As kindly as she possibly could, she bowed to the appropriate degree and stood up straight.
She looked up at Rage again and politely held out her hand, urging him to shake it. "I know you cannot speak. But I would like to tell you my name."
He seemed confused.
That made her frown and then she frowned even more deeply at the fact she was frowning. Was there no other expression for her other than this stupid facial action? Pushing that aside, she turned her attention more to the person in front of her. "I am Amaya," she muttered, dropping her hand when he did not shake it.
Yuki looked at the boy that saved her, pointing an ashen and cut up finger at him. "Who is he, Kakashi-tousan? I want to know," she asked, lettin her hand drop when the jounin gave a small shrug, not of his unknowing but of a clear wish not to discuss it. Her docile stare turned into more of a glare.
"Tell me. I have the right to know," she growled, her attitude less than threatening. "Maybe I should ask him if you're not going to tell me, Kakashi." Again, less than threatening.
Kakashi returned her glare with a lazy one and he smiled a mean smile. "Okay," he said lightly before shrugging and leaning against the wall. "Be my guest, Yu."
She growled again, trying to resist the urge to throw a pillow at the jounin. But he would only dodge it and he wouldn't be able to throw it that hard. She sighed. Sticking up that same gnarled finger she used to point at Vell before, she, well, pointed to him. "Who are you?"

[You certainly may call him Momo (I'd never thought of that nickname for him before. OoO). And if Rage could talk he'd call Ami-chan Yoru - it means night, and I think it's adorable. >v<]
Amaya. Night rain. Now this small girl who'd piqued Rage's interest had a name to go with her fascinating appearance. Why she'd suddenly decided to tell him her name, he'd never know. He watched as her little hand dropped to her side when he wouldn't shake it.
Shaking a girl's hand, normally, wasn't such a problem for Rage - because no one ever tried. A small nod of recognition was all he ever got from women. But his policies still stood regardless: a boy touching a girl he didn't know was extremely impolite to the black haired teen, hence how he'd barely touched her shoulder. He recalled of when they first met, how he'd caught her wrist before she could hit that blue haired woman.
Rage's teeth gritted at the indiscretion he'd not thought twice about before.
After a few seconds of silence, Rage popped open the lid of his bento and retrieved the small bit of dessert tucked to the side - a small ginger cookie. Rage could have inhaled it but that was probably because of his size. He now offered this, as if bargaining a lower price on a piece of furniture. His orange eyes were muted but watchful.
Vell's ear twitched and he blinked at the beat-up finger stabbing the air to indicate him. "My name's Vell," he said. Then he frowned. "And don't point. It's impolite."
Oh God. Since when did I tell people that? He was recognizing the early signs in himself - the signs of a big brother.
"Where the hell's a nurse? I'll go find one--"
"Vell."
The silver haired teen had turned to the door only to stop at the stern tone in Kakashi's voice. Stern, but not angry. Just exasperated. Vell's tail lashed invisibly in his pant leg and he didn't move.
Kakashi blew a sigh and looked back down at Yuki. "He'll probably tell you later. He's going to stay with us for a few days."
"Since when?!" Vell choked, whirling around to give his brother an alarmed look. Kakashi quirked a brow at him.
"Where else were you planning to stay?"
"I...I didn't plan to come in the first place, you jerk...." Vell wouldn't look at either of them, now, and instead focused his attention on the wall to his left. Grumpily.
